Portrait Displays needed to create a package that enabled the brand to visually describe the "pivot" or "swivel" feature of advanced flat-panel displays; the ability to manually turn the entire screen from "landscape" view to "portrait" view. Pivot software allows the computer to reset its view to the portrait position once it has been moved.
Nearly two million flat panel displays carry the "pivot enabled" symbol, including products from Sony, Mitsubishi, Samsung and ViewSonic.
